About Us
The Fall Prevention Network
Each year 1 in 3 older adults experience a fall in the United States. Unfortunately many of these falls are devastating and can cause severe injury that threatens their independence or can even result in death.
But falls are not an inevitable consequence of aging. Falls can be prevented.
The Fall Prevention Network provides the best opportunity to reduce an older adult’s risk of falling by connecting them to several services and a coordinated approach.
The Fall Prevention Network is:
-
A free referral source to connect older adults in the Denver metro area to fall prevention services.
-
A network of service providers that offer one or more of the following fall prevention services:
- Physical activity programs to improve mobility, agility and balance
- Home safety checks and modifications
- Medication reviews
- Vision services
-
Committed to reducing falls by improving access to fall prevention services and increasing public awareness that falls can be prevented.
